As the Director of Demand Generation, you will be responsible for driving the growth for Maropost in their target market segments. You will own the marketing funnel and be responsible for driving qualified opportunities and operations. You’ll develop and execute both strategic and tactical plans to exceed pipeline and revenue goals. With responsibility for demand generation, you will always look to improve conversion rates through the funnel by ensuring our marketing systems are nurturing, scoring, and routing appropriately, and that no good lead is ever left behind. As a strategic, data-driven marketer, you’ll lead marketing performance reporting making sure our team, company, and executive team know marketing’s impact on revenue. This role requires a strategic leader that is equal parts creative, operational, collaborative, and revenue-minded.
-Lead, develop, and mentor a growing team of digital and event marketers to meet ambitious growth goals
-Drive efficiency and effectiveness of demand generation program while working cross-functionally with marketing and sales teams
-Create and execute digital programs and campaigns to drive lead generation for mid-market and enterprise segments
-Develop and monitor timelines and marketing calendar to ensure cohesiveness and measurement toward departmental goals
-Manage relationships and promotional opportunities with key publishers and media partners
-Maximize ROI across all demand generation programs, including all digital and print advertising, SEO, direct mail, content-driven lead capture, sponsorships, referral programs, events, and list purchasing
-Develop deep expertise in Maropost’s brand promise, customers profiles, and value prop, and be able to write compelling and effective content for emails, landing pages, and other demand gen program assets
-Continuously optimize the demand generation efforts through experimentation and data-driven optimization
-Improve lead progression through the funnel by assisting with the development of strategy, management buy-in, and execution & reporting
Requirements & Qualifications
-You must be based in Maropost’s Chicago office daily.
-7+ years of experience in a SaaS B2B demand generation role
-Ability to build a strategic plan and clearly tie program execution and pipeline metrics to the strategy
-Deep understanding in funnel metrics, pipeline building, lead lifecycle, and nurturing
-Proven success fulfilling a qualified lead commitment from search, social, email, and other digital sources
-Expert in end-to-end campaign development, execution, and measurement
-Rigorous analytical and data-driven mindset – you decide based on evidence, and when you don’t have the evidence you need, you run tests
-A sense of urgency and desire to work and win with a team of smart, hard-working, and collaborative people
-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and all levels of management
-Exceptional writing proficiency and crystal-clear communication skills (written, verbal, visual)
